My Services
I specialize in working with exquisitely sensitive and neurodivergent adults healing from complex trauma—such as growing up with addiction or mental illness in the family, chronic emotional neglect, or experiences of parentification. My approach is holistic and grounded in what truly helps the nervous system heal. I integrate eco-informed therapy, Pia Mellody’s framework for adult children, Janina Fisher’s TIST model, and a neurodiversity-affirming lens to support trauma recovery at its root. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to gently guide aligned action outside the therapy room—helping you practice what we explore in session through doable, supportive steps. Together, we work toward deep safety in your body, greater self-trust, and a life that feels more spacious, meaningful, and your own.
What is Complex Trauma and How Does it Differ from Single-event Trauma?
Complex trauma arises from prolonged, repeated harm, often occuring in childhood. It can also occur in adulthood through domestic violence, prolonged isolation, systemic oppression, and loss of connection to the natural world. At the time of these prolonged events, we did not have the tools, support, or resources we needed to cope, so the trauma gets stored in our bodies and nervous systems. Unlike single-event trauma, complex trauma changes our entire sense of self. Complex trauma survivors can experience challenges with self-image, significant emotional distress, relationship struggles, and chronic health issues. Janina Fisher's research shows how this creates internal fragmentation, where different "parts" of the self become frozen in survival states. The path forward involves befriending internal parts with curiosity and using eco-informed approaches that reconnect us with self, others, and nature to reclaim wholeness.
Individual Psychotherapy
-
In individual therapy, I provide 50-minute sessions designed to help you heal from anxiety, OCD, and/or the impact of growing up in homes affected by addiction, mental illness, and family trauma. Individual sessions focus on helping you regain self-trust and fortify the resilience and self-compassion you need to find lasting relief. My personal style lends itself to courageous self-inquiry and a warm, down to earth feel. I hold a deep reverence for each human journey I have the privilege of witnessing, paying close attention to the ways that neurodivergent experiences affect mental health recovery.
Relationship Therapy
-
I offer specialized relationship therapy for couples or partners where one or more individuals identify as neurodivergent or are navigating mental health challenges. In these dynamics, it can often feel like one partner is the helper while the other is the one being helped, creating imbalance and frustration over time. With 75-minute sessions, I help couples break out of these roles and foster a more egalitarian, compassionate connection where both partners feel understood and valued. I use my combined experiences with treating family trauma and offering a neurodiversity-affirming approach to help relationships strengthen mutual trust, emotional safety, and deeper intimacy.
Group Therapy
-
I offer a 90-minute process group designed for adult children from homes affected by trauma, providing a safe space to overcome shame, self-doubt, and build the capacity for child-like joy. In this group, the collective dynamic offers a powerful opportunity to heal attachment-based wounds. By sharing and witnessing others' stories, participants begin to internalize a sense of safety and autonomy, breaking old patterns of isolation and fear. Together, we create a space where healing organically emanates from the collective dynamic, helping you rebuild trust in yourself and others as you move toward a more empowered and joyful life.
Workshops & Trainings
-
I offer two specialized workshops for professionals:
Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy for OCD: This workshop equips therapists with the tools to effectively support neurodivergent clients with OCD. Rooted in affirming practices, you'll learn strategies to navigate the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent clients with OCD and how to understand the differences between OCD symptoms and neurodivergent traits, while fostering a sense of safety, autonomy, and empowerment in their healing process.
Working with Shame, Fear, and Self-Doubt in Clients with Family of Origin Trauma: Designed for therapists working with clients who grew up in homes affected by addiction or mental illness, this workshop focuses on helping clients overcome deep-rooted shame, fear, and self-doubt. You’ll learn how to support them in breaking old patterns and building new connections within themselves that support courage, self-compassion, and a sense of internal safety.

I am currently an out-of-network-provider and do not accept insurance. You may qualify for out-of-network benefits from your insurance plan. For out-of-network providers, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
-
OON benefits vary by insurance type and plan. Some insurance will reimburse you partially or fully for services received OON. I am an OON provider. This means that you pay for your sessions up front, and I can give you a receipt (superbill) for you to turn in to your insurance reimbursement. To check your OON benefits, call your insurance plan. Your insurance may reimburse none, part, or the entire cost per session.
-
For the time being, I have decided not to participate in the insurance system. While I know that finding an in-network provider is important to many, I value quality care and your privacy. Insurance companies can dictate how many sessions you are allotted and may refuse to cover services that I deem necessary. Insurance companies require diagnoses and may only cover certain ones. I prefer not to allow this interference in the services I provide to my clients. Additionally, insurances have access to your chart, which contains your private health information. I realize there may be information you want to remain private and share with no one, or whomever you deem fit. Additionally, their sometimes low-compensation rates have infamously contributed to therpaist burnout, which could limit my capacity to provide the high-quality, attentive care you deserve. In the future, I may decide to take insurance if and when it seems more beneficial than detrimental for my clients and my practice.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate (GFE)” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. I am an OON Provider (see above), which requires me to offer you a GFE. If you became a client before January 1, 2022, you will receive this estimate by that date. If you become a client after this date, you will receive one at least 1 business day before our first appointment.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non- emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call me at (720) 295-6570

Most clients begin with weekly sessions. As you progress, we may adjust to biweekly or monthly sessions. Consistency is key to making meaningful progress, especially in the beginning stages of our work together.
-
Every person's journey is unique. Some clients experience significant shifts within 8-12 sessions, while deeper healing work may continue for several months or longer. We'll regularly check in about your progress and adjust our approach accordingly.

I require 48 hours notice for cancellations to avoid being charged the full session fee. I understand that emergencies happen, and we can discuss those situations as they arise.
